Tuesday’s series opener between the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The contest will be made up on Wednesday as part of a traditional doubleheader, beginning at 4:05 p.m. The second game will start no earlier than 7:05 p.m. If the first game ends later than 6:35 p.m., Game 2 would start approximately 30 minutes after the end of Game 1.
Luis Gil is scheduled to start Game 1, while Will Warren will go in Game 2 as the 27th man, manager Aaron Boone announced. It will be Warren’s second big-league start and first in the Bronx.
This is just the Yankees’ second postponement of the season (April 12 at Cleveland).
