Blumhouse Games was already listed as one of the partners for the show, but it was cemented with a confirmation tweet that we’d see what they are working on, as Blumhouse told players to “Tune in to Summer Game Fest this Friday to find out what’s to come from the new home of horror games.”
A bold claim to make for a studio just entering the fray, but if Blumhouse knows one thing, it does know horror. It’ll be interesting to see what Blumhouse believes makes a good horror game though.
The new studio
When the news of the studio was made public, Blumhouse said of the studio’s president and chief financial officer “When we sat down with Zach and Don, they articulated an approach that resonated with Blumhouse’s model.
We knew it was a perfect place for us to start our push into the interactive space.”
