New York’s fall foliage is showing vibrant signs of autumn, with areas in the Adirondacks nearing midpoint of change and portions of the Catskills and Central New York regions not far behind. According to the I LOVE NY Fall Foliage Report for the week of Sept. 18-24, other regions, like the Finger Lakes, are beginning to see beautiful pops of yellow, red, and orange.
In the Finger Lakes, Cayuga County leads with 25% color change, featuring bright yellows and reds in Auburn. Monroe County has 5-10% change in Rochester, while Seneca County shows 20% change in Waterloo, with vivid red and yellow hues. Steuben County is reporting bright yellow, orange, and red leaves, especially in Corning and Hammondsport.
The Adirondacks and Finger Lakes regions are must-visit destinations this weekend for those seeking spectacular fall colors.
