But having No Man’s Sky on that list of PS5 Pro Enhanced games was no small feat, according to Hello Games engine programmer Martin Griffiths, who admitted that the job was “a tough gig” when reflecting on the update on his Twitter account.
“I spent around 4-5 months of my time spread over the last year working on the #PS5Pro support,” wrote Griffiths. “his was a tough gig since we are one of smallest teams releasing today and also one of only a handful of games supporting both 4K and 8K, as well as PSVR2. I am immensely proud of playing a part in this release today – hope you all enjoy!”
Now of course the truth about game development is that no part of it is easy, you could call ever part of making a game ‘a tough gig,’ but Griffiths is right to point out the uniqueness of No Man’s Sky.
It really is one of a few games that supports not just a whole other platform in the PS VR2, but multiple resolutions – and that’s just for one platform.
