A Lyons man has been charged with driving while intoxicated following an investigation into a crash that left him injured in August.
Donald M. Wright Jr., 57, was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies after they determined he had been driving under the influence during the August 16 incident.
Authorities say Wright was speeding around a corner when he lost control of his vehicle, veering into the oncoming lane before crashing into a ditch.
In addition to DWI, Wright faces charges of reckless driving and unsafe lane movement. He was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and released with an appearance ticket. Wright is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court on October 23 at 8:30 a.m. to answer the charges.
