Teen driver injured in Hopewell crash; no tickets issued (www.fingerlakes1.com)

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a single-car crash on County Road 10 in Hopewell on July 15 at 11:48 a.m. The crash involved a 17-year-old female driver who suffered minor back and chest injuries. Tabitha Lynn Jesmer, 40, of Canandaigua, was a passenger and was uninjured.

The accident occurred when the teen was attempting to turn into a driveway. Another vehicle behind her honked, causing the teen to drive off the road, through a ditch, and into a small tree. The unidentified vehicle left the scene.

The Canandaigua Emergency Squad transported the teen to F.F. Thompson Hospital for treatment. The vehicle had minor damage and was driven away from the scene. No citations were issued.
