The Thing Remastered Release Date Seemingly Confirmed For This Week (www.psu.com)

has seemingly bagged itself a release date of December 5, 2024, according to a post on Xbox Wire.

Nightdive Studios’ revamp of the classic survival horror title is listed as December 5 in a post that covers new Xbox releases for the week, alongside the like of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and The Thaumaturge.

However, as of the time of writing, Nightdive hasn’t confirmed this date on any of its social channels, but did state that it will come out this month. So, there’s a strong chance that it will indeed launch tomorrow. Despite this, the PlayStation Store listing for the game simply lists The Thing Remastered as ‘Announced’ with no release date.

The Thing Remastered offers a wealth of improvement over the original 2002 version of the survival horror title, using the KEX Engine to provide up to 4K resolution at 120 FPS. Nightdive Studios has spruced up the game’s character models, textures, and animations, which have been hand-crafted for this remaster, while lighting and atmospheric effects have been greatly improved thanks to advanced 3D rendering.
