President Donald Trump has launched his second term with a flurry of executive actions and policy announcements, marking what he calls the start of America’s “Golden Age.” Within the first 100 hours, Trump has implemented sweeping changes across energy, immigration, government operations, and national security, fulfilling campaign promises at record speed.
The administration highlighted significant achievements, including $1 trillion in new investments, border security crackdowns, and the rollback of Biden-era policies. Trump’s actions included signing more executive orders on his first day than any other president in U.S. history.
Among the notable actions, Trump secured $500 billion in private investments for AI infrastructure projects and announced that Saudi Arabia plans to invest $600 billion in the U.S. over the next four years. Automaker Stellantis announced new investments in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan, citing Trump’s commitment to the auto industry.
The administration has also focused on immigration, reporting sharp declines in illegal crossings at the southern border. Trump terminated the CBP One app, resumed deportation flights, and designated drug cartels as terrorist organizations. In a policy shift, the Department of Homeland Security reinstated the term “illegal alien” in official use, and the Department of Justice began targeting sanctuary city policies.
In energy policy, Trump declared a National Energy Emergency and rescinded Biden-era regulations, withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement and pausing federal permits for wind farms. He signed orders to expand oil drilling and reverse electric vehicle mandates. Industry leaders have applauded these moves, with the American Petroleum Institute and others hailing the president’s efforts to restore U.S. energy dominance.
Trump has also acted to reshape the federal government, ending remote work practices, reinstating merit-based hiring, and eliminating DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs. He signed an executive order affirming biological sex distinctions in federal policy and directed embassies to fly only the American flag.
Additional actions included the declassification of JFK assassination files, pardons for Washington, D.C., police officers and pro-life activists, and deploying military resources to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.
Supporters across industries praised Trump’s swift leadership, calling his actions transformative. “This is a new day for American energy,” said Mike Sommers, President of the American Petroleum Institute. The Steel Manufacturers Association added, “President Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his strong support for American workers.”
