Sage acquires the scientific and medical publisher Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.

Sage Publishing, a major independent academic publishing company, based in Thousand Oaks, California, has acquired Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., a well-known global media company, based in New Rochelle, New York, that publishes over 100 peer-reviewed academic journals.

In addition, this

represents a significant step forward in the academic publishing industry.

Both Publishers Founded by Women

Blaise Simqu, CEO of Sage, said:

Mary Ann Liebert’s publications will continue under Liebert’s name. Sage will start publishing a part of its life sciences and medical journals under Liebert’s imprint.
