Three face charges after Penn Yan burglary; two suspects adolescent offenders

An 18-year-old has been arrested in Penn Yan after police linked them to a burglary at a local business in December. The arrest follows an investigation that revealed the individual allegedly acted as a lookout while two others broke into the business and stole $1,600.

Michael J. Hand Jr., 23, and a 17-year-old adolescent offender were identified as the primary suspects in the incident, which occurred between December 19 and 20. The 18-year-old was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy and released on an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Penn Yan Court.
